Shelly Thobe brings a unique blend of leadership, innovation, and community dedication to her role as Vice President and Concessions Lead for the Friends of Berlin Performing Arts (FBPA) Board of Directors. With over two decades of experience in product innovation and food production, Shelly applies her expertise in teamwork, strategy, and problem-solving to support the performing arts programs at Olentangy Berlin High School.

Shelly’s dedication to service extends far beyond her professional career. She is a passionate advocate for community initiatives, including her leadership and fundraising efforts for Relay For Life. Inspired by her family’s experience, Shelly has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research and awareness, earning her team the title of Rookie Team of the Year.

As FBPA’s Concessions Lead, Shelly uses her deep understanding of food service and logistics to oversee concessions for performances and events, creating a seamless experience for attendees while raising vital funds for the arts. Her commitment to supporting students, parents, and the local community drives her work, helping FBPA achieve its mission to promote and sustain the performing arts.

A proud Buckeye, Shelly holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Food Service Management and a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She is passionate about connecting with others, fostering collaboration, and making a lasting impact on her community.

Shelly lives by the belief that innovation and dedication can inspire change, and her work with FBPA is a testament to her unwavering commitment to education, the arts, and community growth.
